TRIAD UPDATE
Triad Fastener, L.P. Newsletter
Volume 1, Issue 1 - April 2010 |
Triad Develops Mold Transfer Process In response to customer needs and using our years of experience in the injection molding industry, Triad has developed a comprehensive procedure for transferring injection molds from another vendor to Triad. "This gives our customers the comfort of knowing every aspect of moving injection molding business is covered and built into a plan which will assure success" says Tim Lewis, Triad's General Manager. This process includes checklists, forms, schedules, etc. to insure everyone involved in the transfer knows exactly what information is needed by whom and when. The intent is to eliminate suprises and make sure the process goes smoothly. Originally the intent was to use the process for "emergency" tool transfers where a customer needed help moving business quickly to support production when an existing vendor, for whatever reason, cannot continue to support production. We now use the process for any mold transfer for any reason. This is just one more way Triad stands out from the rest. If you find yourself needing to transfer tooling in a hurry, give us a call: we can help. Triad Fastener, L.P. A Member of the Triad Group of Companies |
Triad Continues It's Commitment to Scientific Molding
Triad is dedicated to using Scientific Molding principals to assure our customers of a controlled, repeatable molding process. This commitment includes regular training in Scientific Molding principals for our management and technical team members. The latest three day training class was held in February at Triad Plastics and led by John Bozzelli, the inventor of "Scientific Molding". Mr. Bozelli is recognized as one of the leading experts in injection molding and was named one of the 25 most "Notable Processors" in the plastics industry by Modern Plastics magazine. Eighteen individuals from Triad's three molding plants participated in this training which included both classroom as well as hands-on time.

Gate season is upon us. Raw material prices are increasing and lead times are getting longer, don't wait until the last minute to order your gates! Triad Dam Gates® |
Important Raw Material Update Raw material inventories and feedstock are in short supply due to reactors being shut-down during the 2009 economic crisis. We are receiving price increases almost daily and order lead times are as long as 12 weeks on some materials. It is vitally important that our customers give us forecasts as far as possible into the future so we can make sure we have materials on hand. |
